The client is a respected global financial group, is now seeking a System Analyst / Application Developer – Core Insurance System (AS400 / RPG / RPGLE) (HKD35k – 45k) to join their team in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:

• Code instructions for computer programs / objects / components and configure packaged applications
• Quality check and troubleshoot program code, related objects and documentation in order to resolve application issues
• Document and implement programs according to installation standards, procedures and conventions
• Prepare and execute Unit Test plans / System & Integration Test plans and document results
• Analyze and make recommendations for the need of system backup, security, restart / recovery, balancing & controls
• Analyze and document the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modeling
• Act as technical expert in a specific process or product area, conducting process reviews and initiating change in order to contribute to continuous improvement of services to internal customers 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in AS400 application development using RPG and RPGLE
• Solid experience in Application Development using CA2E (a.k.a. SYNON, a.k.a. Cool/2E) is a definite advantage
• Familiar with Life Insurance policy administration application AND/OR core banking application
