Responsibilities

• Conduct research on sustainability trends at local and global levels, relevant regulations and peer bench marking, including collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information;
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship initiatives including energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and waste reduction;
• Provide support for the development and implementation of the Group’s sustainability framework;
• Assist to develop sustainability strategies, goals, objectives and initiatives with the team in collaboration with Business Units;
• Assist Business Units to use sustainability as a business differentiator, and also identify new business opportunities based on sustainability challenges;
• Manage sustainability database and records on a regular basis;
• Collect, consolidate and analyses sustainability information and data for annual reporting and other sustainability related submissions;
• Assist to organize stakeholder engagement activities and other initiatives to promote the Group’s sustainability;
• Support any ad hoc projects when necessary.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Corporate Sustainable Development or other relevant disciplines;
• 4 years or above relevant experience in sustainability;
• Experience in internationally recognized sustainability index assessments is an advantage;
• Familiar with the requirements of HKEx ESG Reporting Guide, GRI Standards, SDG and UNGC is preferable;
• Possess knowledge in managing ISO 14001, ISO 14064,OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 27001 is a plus;
• Good problem-solving skill and competency in driving new initiatives;
• Passionate about sustainability issues with strong analytical capability and knowledge in corporate sustainability trends at local and global levels;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as presentation skill;
• Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Candidate with less experience will consider as Officer - Corporate Sustainability.
