Duties

Ensures that the Inspections plan is always updated in accordance with both production and shipment schedules.

Ensures that the documents (Inspection Protocol and Inspection Booking Form) and reference samples are available in due time.

Books the inspection.

Ensures that the Inspections are performed in accordance with the plan and that inspections records are promptly received.

Reviews the Inspection Report and – in case of positive results - provides the Logistic Office with an input for shipment release.

Provides Quality Management and Vendors with an input regarding quality control issues.

Reviews/discusses CAPA with suppliers and gets it approved by Quality Management.

Ensures that records are managed in accordance with our procedures.

Keeps continuously updated statistical data in order to allow analysis of the quality performance of both vendors and products.

Mainly located in Hong Kong, travel to product suppliers as needed.

Perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned by the supervisor

Skills and experience

Holds a degree, possibly in Mechanical / Quality Engineering (or related discipline). Six Sigma in green Belt/ Black Belt would be a strong bonus.

At least 3 years quality control related experience with focus in plastic and soft toys. Experience in coordinating a small team of Quality Inspectors will be considered a strong bonus.

Knowledge of sampling procedures for inspections, AQLs and toy inspection processes is a must.

Able to draw/review inspection protocols.

Documental management and statistical analysis of quality performance (vendors and products).

The candidate shall at least have a basic knowledge of the EU toys safety Regulations and Directives.

Familiar with both international toys regulatory requirements and technical standards.

Basic competencies of toys testing processes would be a bonus.

Has good analytical and problem solving skills.

Initiative, responsible, strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is necessary
