Job Description

Ralph Lauren is looking for a motivated Channel Development Manager to be a part of the APAC Ecommerce team to take lead in ecommerce business development needs for key markets in the region: Japan, Korea, Australia, HK and SEA. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams in APAC office as well as in-country ecommerce teams to identify new business opportunities, develop business case, plan and lead expansion projects, and manage business performance. The Channel Development Manager will play an important role in driving digital brand strength, ecommerce sales growth, and brand elevation of Ralph Lauren in Asia.

 

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Director of Channel Development on business development / new project launch plans:

  • Build business cases and financial models, develop go-to-market plans for new growth initiatives across APAC
  • Conduct market research, develop in-depth understanding of competitive landscape, report on competitive trends, derive market insights that translate into short to mid-term identified opportunities
  • Plan and lead various business development and market expansion projects; launch all projects on-schedule as planned
  • Assist in the evaluation of new e-commerce partnership opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams on launch plans; represent perspectives of various internal and external partners and communicate deadlines/requirements/restrictions effectively  
  • Assist in developing business review or digital/ecommerce strategy materials to be presented to the senior management
  • Monitor the business daily to ensure on-strategy, on-brand execution of all business activities 

Drive other strategic initiatives:

  • Lead pilot programs, develop data-driven insights based on performance; expand and scale if proven successful
  • Identify scale-able opportunities in day-to-day operations/processes; propose new ideas; lead execution/market roll-out
  • Support the team on rolling out strategic marketing/branding campaign activities

 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Degree in business / economics / marketing or MBA
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in consulting / research firm / investment banking
  • Strong career interest or prior experience in ecommerce / FMCG marketing highly valued
  • Prior Salesforce experience highly recognized
  • Strong thought leader, problem solver, self-starter, entrepreneurial, results-oriented, responsible, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong organization, communication, time-management, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to multitask and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines, while working with multiple stakeholders in various departments / regions  
  • Positive, collaborative, team player, self-motivated, creative, high appetite to learn
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advance proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel, Word
  • Fluency in English is a must, additional language proficiency in Japanese or Korean highly valued
