Purposes:

• Responsible for managing the operations of a premium Chinese language movie channel in Hong Kong and its overseas businesses as well as strategy planning, program quality control, budget control, business development, marketing and brand building.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor day to day operations of the movie channel and services including scheduling, playout, distribution, technical assurance and quality compliance

• Responsible for driving the overall content strategy including acquired movies, other content and self-produced programs (if any) in order to ensure the content quality is aligned with the channel brand and proposition

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all aspects of program production (if any) to support the channel brand and proposition

• Provide professional advice to Content Head on acquisition and programming strategies

• Liaise with industry professionals to build branding and promote the image of the movie channel and services in Hong Kong as well as overseas

• Responsible for the overall financial performance whilst reporting to the board of directors of the movie channel joint venture

• Manage a professional team and motivate all team members to perform well according to pre-determined job objectives.  Able to grow team spirit and balance resource allocation

 Requirements:

• Degree holder any disciplines preferably in media related subjects

• Minimum of 12 years working experience in TV industry, in which 5 years in managerial level

• In-depth knowledge on TV Channel operations and movie / entertainment related content

• Sensitive to the market trends and customer needs

• Basic knowledge on commercial terms with good financial concept

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a good team manager and team player

• Good negotiation skills

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (i.e. Mandarin)

• Must love movies
