Job Description

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and follow through with Director of Sourcing, Sourcing Managers and buyers on strategic sourcing plan to maximize benefits (quality, delivery and compliance).
  • Manage existing source at the same time proactively seek new opportunities and identify new trends.
  • Evaluate and summarize each source with the intent of building a long-term business relationship with vendors/ factories which are socially compliant, innovative, developmental and price competitive.
  • Follow up on purchase order execution, inspection, packaging and logistics.
  • Support product development and monitor manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Project-oriented with time sensitivity in accomplishing established goals.
  • Work with other departments to achieve Company goals.  

 

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with minimum 6 years’ solid experience in sourcing or related field of which at least 2 years’ experience in buying office, agent or well-known importer catering to U.S. Market.
  • Proven experience as specialist in the captioned categories or as generalist in other Home categories in U.S., Canada, or UK retail market.
  • Understanding of buying office, manufacturing principles, materials, processes, U.S. customs, international logistics and trade with hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and Mandarin; other languages or Chinese dialects a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel to China and other parts of the world to explore sourcing opportunities.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.
  • Able to plan and multitask various projects. Passionate in products and knowledgeable in latest market trends.
  • Proactive, dynamic, flexible and creative in offering new products and business solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Highest level of integrity, employment reference check will be conducted.
