Main Task

The EEC Tour Guide welcomes visitors and leads them on a friendly and entertaining guided tour of the Environmental Education Centre.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct guided tours to inform, educate and entertain visitors of all ages with information about the T. PARK;
• Act as a facilitator with the use of open ended questions and inquiry-based presentation to ensure the delivery of a pleasant and enjoyable visitor experience;
• Manage and keep control of a large group of students or adults with attention of safety of visitors and exhibits;

Person Specification:

• Ability to learn quickly and synthesize information for various audiences
• Articulate, confident, friendly, outgoing and energetic
• Good presentation skills, well-organized and ability to work under pressure
• Maintains high level of courtesy at all times
• Passionate in environmental protection
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays
• Training will be provided for selected candidates
• Clear speaking voice in English, Cantonese and Putonghua and first class communicator
• Office duties may be required when not conducting tours
• 5-day work week with normal working hours from 9:45am to 7:15pm; shift duty required
