Responsibilities:

• Plan, project-manage and implement publicity for the Council’s projects, including trade fairs, conferences, meetings and missions, and other projects and tasks as assigned
• Develop and implement publicity and communication programmes to promote the Council’s corporate themes that incorporate the Council’s trade promotion events and other services
• Develop publicity-related content such as key messages, line-to-take, speeches, talk notes, press releases, publicity plans, correspondence and other related material as needed
• Maintain good relationship with Hong Kong, Chinese mainland and international media, and pitch thematic and event-based stories to generate positive coverage for the Council at both corporate and project levels
• Support the department and team in other duties as required

Requirement:

• University degree in communication, marketing, business or other relevant disciplines
• At least 4 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in public relations; past work with a reputable agency is an advantage
• Knowledge of editorial and graphic production through work with vendors or freelancers
• Strong communication and editorial skills (excellent command of English and Chinese including verbal Putonghua)
• Good planning and project management and administrative skills
• Keen awareness of current affairs, community issues and the business environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills; willingness to take initiative and work with a team

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
