Responsibilities:

• Report directly to CEO and shareholder, lead the accounting department and supervise team members to handle the daily accounting duties including AP and AR
• Provide strategic advice and suggestions on top management decisions based on financial analysis
• Monitor and analyze financial status and cash flow, prepare financial and management reports including month-end closing, budgeting and forecasting, and propose strategic and operational improvement plans
• Formulate internal control system and manual, and establish/ optimize workflow for operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Act as business partner to operations, gate-keeper of budget and cost control across departments, and leader in setting up accounting system
• Ensure adequate and effective internal procedures covering all aspects of the business operations are in place
• Liaise with external auditors and other professional parties to ensure compliance with rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
• Qualified member of one of the major accountancy bodies and excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations
• Minimum 8 years’ solid experience as Financial Controller in start-up companies/ SME in trading/ retail/ F&B industry
• Experience of handling pre-IPO issues and rolling out accounting system is highly preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to cope with pressure
• Excellent sense of responsibility and self-motivated
• Candidate with less experience but demonstrating high potential will be considered for the role Accountant and offered subsidies in obtaining professional qualifications
