Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Build understanding of the MBM (Market-Based Management) principles and compensation philosophy, in addition to technical C&B concepts and principles, and impart/share such knowledge with our HR business partners, C&B practitioners and supervisors, and help them apply these in their compensation and benefits review and recommendations. Challenge as appropriate.
  • Act as a consultant to our HR business partners and business leaders, able to give advice on the MBM Incentives dimension. C&B advice and design solutions that meet business and organization needs.
  • Manage the design and implementation of compensation and benefits solutions and programs that meet business and organization needs, are in compliant with local labor regulations and consistent with our compensation philosophy and are in line with market practice. 
  • Manage the Compensation and Benefit team for the region. Establish roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Measure performance and provide feedback on an ongoing basis. Optimize the individuals capabilities in order to provide the most value to the organization.
  • Develop compensation and benefit analytics and market intelligence and provide data that will be useful to entity HR and businesss leaders in making operational and business decisions. Provide ongoing knowledge sharing with entity HR within the region in order to ensure their understanding of ongoing compensation and benefit efforts.
  • Manage the job review/grading activities for all exempt and non-exempt positions in APN. Ensure the global grading system is consistently applied across. 
  • Manage the expatriate process for the region. Work with corporate and outsourced vendor to ensure process is effective for outbound and inbound into the region.
  • Conduct compensation recommendation audit and participate in the challenge process with the entity HR and supervisors during the annual compensation cycle
  • Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in in Compensation & Benefits with demonstrated skills and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts and techniques of compensation and benefits analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in managing people
  • HR experience in manufacturing environment


Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
  • Knowledge of related labor laws/regulations
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP, HRIS system and online job evaluation systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to establish plans in order to meet deadlines
  • Customer service oriented individual that possesses a sense of urgency
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
