Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

Human resource

  • Fully understand BSI business and operation model to formulate strategic HR plan to meet human resources management needs;
  • Provide a ‘business partnering’ HR advice to line managers and importantly understand business needs in resource planning, recruitment, motivation, performance management, learning & development etc.
  • Play a change agent to enable a successful business changes or reform;
  • Carry out BSI culture, value and core behaviour and foster an open and trust based environment;
  • Work closely with Centre of Expertise team to identify any HRM challenges and improvement areas and work out workable plan;
  • Collaborate with local management team to address HR issues and people development plan to proactively anticipate any HR risks;
  • Manage an effective recruitment and on-boarding/induction process providing support to Line Managers as required
  • Manage the PDR process from an HR perspective, providing training, support and guidance on the process and systems to Line Managers.  Working with Line Managers to identify high and under performers focusing on motivation and retention of talent, and establishing development plan for under performers.
  • Manage the annual compensation review process providing training, support and guidance to Line Managers.
  • Ensure the independent, accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll including remuneration, MPF and all employment related allowances. Manage the Tax Filing process for employer & employees.
  • Identify any potential people issues and flag to the relevant Line Manager
  • Provide sound first line advice/guidance to the business on all HR matters ensuring all HR policies, procedures and good HR practise are implemented.

 

Administration

  • Leads a team of 2 Administration Assistants overseeing the provision of Administration, Reception & PA duties to the Hong Kong Office.
  • Liaise with property management office and office equipment vendors to ensure smooth and effective operation of the Hong Kong Office.
  • Ensure client reception quality is excellent, when communicating and liaising with client ensure they are informed of BSI’s products and services, and identify potential Driving Force opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Training department to ensure smooth ‘set up’ and operation of the BSI Training Academy courses delivered in the BSI Hong Kong training rooms.
  • Ensure all non-HR insurances for the office (e.g. Property, Risk Insurance etc) and managed in an effective and cost efficient manner.

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Degree holder or above with major in HR, Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • Proven experience in an HRBP role essential
  • Previous work experience in a commercial International company within Asia Pacific region a strong advantage
  • Solid experience in recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, payroll, compensation and taxation filing preferred. Must have experience of managing administrative processes.
  • Experience in line managing a team preferred
  • Strong computer literacy essential, working knowledge and proficiency in HR software & systems requires particularly in SAP HR and HRM Essentials.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and Tax Regulations required
  • Strong in written and spoken Chinese Cantonese, good written and spoken English a must. Satisfactory level of Chinese Mandarin is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual who acts with a sense of urgency is critical.
  • Has an eye for detail, ability to work independently, under pressure and good at prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
  • Excellent in interpersonal & communication skills, confident at liaising with senior management and have the ability to work effectively in a regional matrix environment
  • A good team player and willing to lead
  • Immediately available is preferred.
