Our client, a well-established bank, is now seeking an experienced candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Produce annual internal control assurance plan and monitor internal control assurance plan by conducting onsite and offsite review.
• Review Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) to identify key operational risks and effective mitigation actions/ measures.
• Review risk events/ incidents and customer complaints with regulatory and compliance concerns.
• Understand the relevancy and meaning of relevant regulatory requirement, bank policies, guidelines and procedures (e.g. HKMA guideline, code of conduct, internal control, risk management, etc.) Provide risk advisory comment to facilitate procedures, guidelines and practices formulation/ review so as to comply these polices.
• Promote risks and control awareness e.g. training.  Work with respective teams in the bank to review and enhance training materials and approaches as appropriate to enhance compliance and control quality.
• Facilitate the identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation and monitoring of operational risk in the assigned areas.
• Conduct root cause analysis and benchmarking to improve our control processes and business operating models.Coordinate and implement assigned bank/PBG-wide risk & compliance initiatives; including BCP, disaster recovery plan, Vendor risks management, information security bank-wide policy review; e.g. end user computing, customer data governance, etc.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in personal / private / business banking operations or compliance or controls and operational risk functions preferable.
• Sound knowledge of retail banking/private banking and business banking products and services
• Good understanding and knowledge of operational risk and internal control principles; ability to assess risk trends
• Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
