Job Description

Our fellow Master and Undergraduate students, what are you planning to do during your summer break? Or you are considering on deferring a semester to gain work experience?

For those who are graduating soon in the mid of 2018, would you want to have a “trial” exposure first, before deciding on the choice of your permanent employment?

A.HEALTH – CONSULTANCY
(Summer/ Semester/ Graduate intern)

Job Responsibilities
You will be working exposed to various types of projects during your internship on a rotation basis. Below is a potential list of projects:

•Client Management System Improvement
•Financial Reporting Improvement
•Health Survey Revamp and Production
•MPF Product Internal Marketing
•Sales Support Infrastructure Development
•Other ad hoc projects

You will join a team where you will be able to demonstrate your skills in a collaborative and open learning environment. Over the course of different projects, you will work with respective industry/practice specialists, which you will be able to attain hands on experience as well as in depth subject matter knowledge. We expect you to develop your potential and exposure to be a future Mercer consultant during this internship.

Job Requirements
•Progressing towards an undergraduate/post-graduate degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/liberal arts related field, with an interest in developing a consulting career. Fresh graduates are also welcomed.
•Team player mentality with basic business acumen. Previous experience (both working and/or education) in project management is a plus.
•Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
•Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite. Strong Excel skills, basic VBA will be a plus.
•Proficient in both written and oral English and Chinese.
•Expect candidate who can work for 3 to 6 months from 2018 June (on a full time basis), i.e. for longer availability, it’d be both a summer and semester internship


B.HEALTH – REGIONAL
(Summer/ Semester intern)

Job Responsibilities
You will join a team where you will be able to demonstrate your skills in an open, collaborative learning environment. We expect to provide you a “work hard, play hard” environment, in which you can develop your potential to be a future Mercer consultant. As the Intern of our Regional Health Consulting team, you are expected to:

•Help with coordination with Mercer local countries for the benefit implementation for our regional/global clients
•Analyze clients' benefit data including claim data, demographic data, behavior data etc. to identify potential issues and trends
•Help draft and structure client presentations, e.g. benchmarking analysis against the market data, new benefits feasibility study etc., and provide recommendations to HR leaders
•Conduct research and analysis to understand the market, including health, wellness, insurance.

Over the course of different projects, you will work with respective industry/practice specialists, which you will be able to attain hands on experience as well as in depth subject matter knowledge. We expect you to develop your potential and exposure to be a future qualified consultant during this internship.

Job Requirements
•Progressing towards an undergraduate/post-graduate degree in human capital related field, with an interest in developing a consulting career. Fresh graduates are also welcomed.
•Team player mentality with basic business acumen. Previous experience (both working and/or education) in project management is a plus.
•Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
•Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite. Strong Excel skills. Strong Powerpoint skill is a plus.
•Proficient in both written and oral English and Chinese.
•Expect candidate who can work for 3 to 6 months from 2018 June (on a full time basis)


C.WEALTH – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
(Summer/ Semester intern)

Job Responsibilities
•Support Wealth Business Development and Client Relationship team (“Team”) on various business development/sales and client relationship management activities
•Provide assistance to analytics work on existing client and prospect database to identify target corporations and potential opportunities
•Opportunity to participate in client meetings with members from the Team
•Assist in organizing external and internal marketing events
•Support other initiatives and activities the Team
•You will be able to get hands on experience dealing with clients from a business development and client relationship management perspective.  You will also interact with and learn from many people across teams to understand Mercer’s solutions and value proposition and how we can help our clients.

We want you to work hard, have fun and demonstrate your skills in an open and collaborative learning environment.

Job Requirements
•Progressing towards an undergraduate/post-graduate degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/Actuarial Science/Liberal Arts related field, with an interest in developing a career in the consulting business. Fresh graduates are also welcomed.
•Open mindedness and willing to learn new things.
•Work well in a team setting
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite (PPT, Word, Excel)
•Basic business acumen
•Proficient in both written and oral English and Chinese.
