Our client is a top tier Chinese based commercial banking corporation in Hong Kong. They are currently look for a Strategic Economist. 

Job duties:

• Research areas cover China and G-7 economies
• Responsibilities include revamping existing research products
• Providing daily commentary on economic news and data
• Building new bespoke statistical models, producing economic and financial forecasts
• Providing economic briefings to internal staff and top management
• Handling internal and external requests and contributing to FX and rates strategy formations

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Risk Management, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
• Analytical, independent, possession of good problem-solving and report-writing skills;
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Minimum 5-8 years of the relevant experience in finance institution, preferably in Banking industry 
• Eligible to apply for SFC Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (Advising in Securities) licenses and passed Papers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in IIQAS examinations
• Previous banking, IFA or Insurance experience will be an advantage
