Job Description

ESTATES OFFICE

Reporting to the Director of Estates/Assistant Director of Estates (Facilities and Campus Management), the appointee will lead a project team to deliver quality project management services to ensure the smooth implementation of alteration, addition, refurbishment, improvement and maintenance works for on-campus and off-campus premises managed by the University and to collaborate with different teams of the Office to support the spatial needs of the University. Major duties include management of key deliverables from inception to completion of projects, liaison with other team members, user departments, government departments and external stakeholders, supervision of consultants and contractors, contract administration, budgetary control and revamping of planned maintenance programme. He/She will also need to perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a recognised degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Building Studies, Structural Engineering or a related discipline with at least eight years of relevant post-qualification work experience and be a full member of HKIA/HKIS/HKIE or equivalent. Good planning, management and communication skills in both English and Chinese with a commitment to the delivery of high quality and user-centred project management services are essential. Experience in handling government-funded improvement projects is preferred. Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for a written test.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
