Key Responsibilities

• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends relating to styles, fabrics, colours and shapes. Working with suppliers, competitors, customers and other relevant players, even outside the eyewear industry;
• Analysis of selling data for all Brands, in order to better understand ongoing trends, liaising closely with sales team in order to create the best product attributes;
• Working with suppliers and R&D facilities for the development of innovative solutions, technologies, and methods, to be proposed to the Creative Director for approval;
• Creation of concepts and mood boards, in accordance with the Brief received by the Brand Management Team and Creative Director, liaising closely with all other areas of the Creative Design Team and Product Development;
• Creation of hand sketches or illustrator designs, to be proposed to the Creative Director for final approval;
• Handover of approved creative designs to the CAD-CAM specialists for the development of technical specifications;
• Verifying the development of technical design activities, prototypes and product development, underlining potential difficulties, as far as performance, quality, timing and costs involved;
• Participating in Collection Approval Meetings with the Brand Manager and all other areas involved in the product development process;
• Liaising with Supply Chain and Demand Planning in order to provide the correct support for the achievement of quality, lead time and target costs;
• Product presentations to Sales Team during commercial events and non;
• Guaranteeing the correct archive of concepts and sketches produced with the ongoing management of the related documentation created in the product development process.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in eyewear design
• Strong experience in Fashion/Luxury
• Solid Knowledge of Eyewear business
• Solid International experience both in Asia and Europe
• Fluent in English and preferably one additional Asian language
