Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA)

The Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA) is a newly established Institute under the Faculty of Science of Hong Kong Baptist University. It will serve as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture. The Institute is seeking for a suitable candidate to fill the following vacancy:

The appointee will participate in the research projects of the Institute including research on organic farming and conservation of biological resources related to plant ecology and biodiversity and indigenous resource management.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of research experience in plant diversity/plant ecology. Candidates with postgraduate research experience will be an advantage.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
