Our client is a reputable consumer brand with presence across the globe. Due to significant business expansion in Asia, an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic talent to join its Product Development team in Hong Kong. 

Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you will act as a technical expert in supporting new product development programs from R&D stage, sampling, quality standard setting to manufacturing readiness. You will collaborate closely with Product Development team and external suppliers to resolve any technical issues arise during development and production stage. You will set quality assurance parameters, and communicate with QC team to finalize the quality standard. In addition, you will engage in supplier selection and capability assessment via factory visits.  

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes: 

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related disciplines
• At least 10 years of product engineering and QA experience in gifts/ premium/ accessories merchandise (metal/ plastic); preferably from sizeable manufacturer or global consumer brand
• Solid technical knowledge on production flow and tooling/ molding 
• Proactive, team-oriented and with ability to work within matrix organization 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel 
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
