Reporting to the Project Manager, the appointee will be required to:

• Be responsible for equipment development for the project;
• Keep close communications with equipment manufacturers and co-ordinate the delivery, installation and testing of the equipment in the laboratory of the Institute;
• Provide technical support to the R&D researches/ technicians;
• Manage R&D projects, including technical and financial aspects and other project administrative tasks, such as preparation of project updates and reports;
• Coordinate with local and overseas universities, research institutions and business partners, and handle enquires in a professional manner; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline;
• 3 or more years of research/ relevant work experience;
• Highly-organized and capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments;
• Excellent interpersonal skills; and
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with a good command of Putonghua being an advantage.
