We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Substation Implementation Branch of our Engineering Projects Department.  Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer - Civil Construction, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee consultants and contractors to deliver projects regarding electricity substations, A&A works for existing substations, site formation works, cable tunnels, and upgrading slope works under the existing tower lines inHong Kongand Shenzhen
• Perform construction management to deliver projects meeting the statutory and company requirements regarding operational safety, health, environment, quality, programme and cost
• Set precise yearly programme and budget plan for various civil projects, monitor the project activities including material and resource utilization within target time and cost
• Liaise with various government officials, stakeholders in community, external consultants, suppliers / contractors etc., and also internal departments as necessary to obtain Occupation Permit and energise the proposed substations on time
• Provide technical supports to feasibility studies, budgeting, procurement and detailed design of the civil projects 

Requirements:

• A recognized university degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related disciplines
• Corporate membership of HKIE or equivalent in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering discipline 
• At least five years relevant experience in managing civil engineering related contracts
• Sound knowledge in construction safety management and mindful on construction safety issues
• Experience in managing NEC contract will be an advantage  
• Being self-motivated and customer-oriented, able to work under pressure and committed in meeting deadlines, willing to carry out urgent inspections outside normal working hours
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese
• Possession of Hong Kong Driving License is preferable
