Job Description
PURPOSE
To develop and manage propositions, including the end to end process with stakeholders, for our existing and future state of business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead customer insights driven product proposition projects with a high degree of independence.
- Assist to identify and quantify distinctive and profitable propositions opportunities with relevant supporting business cases.
- Produce regular Proposition Reviews and ad-hoc analysis of existing propositions.
- Work with the Proposition team and other stakeholders in maintaining and enhancing our products and fund platform to support the company-wide ongoing operational improvement and control.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing in promoting the existing propositions (e.g. product briefing for brokers and staff).
- Maintain good relationships with the regulators (SFC and IA) with the aim to professionally manage the filing or approval process in a timely manner.
- Develop good working rapport with key internal stakeholders e.g. Risk, Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance.
- Collaborate with different functions in regulatory or business related projects and actively influence project teams to successfully deliver propositions in accordance with project plans.
- Work with other areas of the company to identify process improvements, specifying and testingrequirements where appropriate.
KEY SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree qualified, in a Business, Marketing or Actuarial discipline or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant product development experience, especially in health and protection insurance products.
- Good understanding and awareness of the market place, including but not limited to competitor activities, distribution trends as well as regulatory changes.
- Good knowledge and experience in Class A products and the relevant regulatory matters. Additional experience in Class C products will be a plus.
- Comfortable to work under in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines and multi-tasking.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Good presentation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Business travel may be required.
