We are looking for an Application and Service Support who can take responsibility for the application maintenance and support of assigned Damco Warehouse Management System. The successful candidate will manage the governance and operation of WMS applications including management of sub processes such as enhancement, release, versioning, maintenance and support ensuring a high-quality delivery. Works with end users and vendors to resolve” break/fix” issues.

Key responsibilities:

Your major area of responsibilities will be as follows:

•  Application Support, including 1^st level support, 2^nd level technical support & onsite support.

• Responsible for incident/request handing, troubleshooting & resolution, training/ education to super users.
• Implementation, cooperate with PM to conduct technical implementation including system configuration/setup, master data setup, test & hyper care support.
• Technical solution & programming.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure architecture and infrastructure elements are approved/planned.
• Provide required and necessary report for supported applications and service in a regular basis.
• Learn and collect customer feedback during support process regularly and identify weak areas about system knowledge, tips, process, etc which can be the entry point for training or knowledge sharing.
• Responsible for availability and performance of applications, in particular driving incident and problem RCAs to cost-effective solutions
• Responsible for managing the support organization and working as the escalation point for Support issues while ensuring SLAs are met
• Providing specialist knowledge for WMS applications to all stakeholders
• Partnering with other Application Managers and Service Managers to resolve incidents and problems across system landscape
• Providing input in design and functional specifications
• Producing deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assisting in post implementation support
• Partnering with designers and development team to system functionality is built to a high quality
• Responsible for ensuring that the system lifecycle is followed and all IT governance processes and procedures are adhered to
• Working on upgrades - hardware, software or operating systems, interfaces, performance tuning, analyzing data and trends
• Responsible for initiation of improvement projects, working with Service Management CSI team to ensure appropriate prioritization

Competencies and Qualifications:

• A proven track record of managing applications effectively
• Previous roles might include IT Analyst, Technical and Business Analyst, Project Manager, Application Manager
• More than 3 years’ experience in application development, application maintenance or support.
• Familiar at least one of Java, C++, VB, etc. language and can use to conduct programming, tuning, debugging or testing work independently.
• Familiar at Microsoft tools including Excel, Excel-Macro, Words, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiar with popular technologies, e.g. SQL Server, Microsoft .Net Frameworks, Reporting Service, Business Object or Crystal Report, etc.
• IT knowledge about simple server configuration, RF gun and printer setting is preferred.
• Knowledge in Linux system preferred.
• Seagull software knowledge preferred e.g. Bartender
• Business knowledge in logistics and warehouse operation.
• Ability to provide solution and fulfillment according request
• Independent, taking full ownership of tasks.
• Self-motivator that can work without regular instructions.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet the deadlines.
• Excellent communication skill both internal and external.
• Good written and fluent oral English skill.
• Working location in Damco HKG warehouse at Tin Shui Wai.
