Job Description
FACULTY OF ARTS
Department of Music
The primary responsibility of the appointee will be technical support, maintenance, and equipment acquisition for audio studios, laboratories, several classrooms, and other departmental computing and equipment resources. Other duties include logistic services for teaching and performance activities, recording / editing of concerts and events, and overseeing the maintenance of the departmental website and social media.
Applicants should have an Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above in a related discipline. Successful applicants must be familiar with professional-level audio hardware and software, Mac and Windows operating systems, and have experience in trouble-shooting technical problems and equipment diagnostics. Leadership, analytical and organisational skills, as well as a service-oriented work attitude are essential. Other desirable skills include familiarity with video editing software, web maintenance and graphic design, and familiarity with Pro Tools, Logic, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Dreamweaver, Muse, and Photoshop).
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
