Job Description
Working in the Marketing and Communications Department, reporting to the Communications Manager, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to the following areas:
Responsibilities:
- Write feature articles to communicate poverty issues and the organisation’s work
- Pitch/coordinate media interviews/arrange press conferences for the organisation’s spokesperson/ambassadors/donors to share about poverty issues and the organisation’s work
- Prepare communications and publicity materials including interview Q&A, factsheet, press invitation, press release, event speech, script, leaflet etc...
- Produce the organisation’s publications including newsletters and annual review
- Manage website content
- Act as a brand gatekeeper to ensure all marketing and communications materials are in line with the global branding guidelines
- Establish good relations with different mass medium and columnists
- Render support to crisis management
Requirements:
- University degree in Chinese, Communications, Journalism, Translation or related discipline;
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in communications and copywriting;
- Excellent Chinese written skill is a must, good English written skill preferred;
- Chinese requirement: Preferable with Grade C or above in Chinese of HKCEE or 5* in Chinese of HKDSE;
- A meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail;
- A team-player able to work independently and meet tight deadlines;
- Highly motivated and pro-active, demonstrate a can-do attitude;
- Proficient in MS Office applications, knowledge of graphic software and videography an advantage;
- Occasional travel is required.
Candidate with less experience may be considered for the post of Communications Officer
