Job Description

Main Duties & Responsibilities:  

Support all marketing and operations of Global Sources Summit held in April and October at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

 

1)  Marketing: 

  • Help the Conference Producer develop an effective digital marketing strategy for promoting and selling tickets for Global Sources Summit for online sellers.
  • Implement, track and revise marketing initiatives for the Summit including but not limited to: 
    • Paid social media ads 
    • Paid Google PPC and display ads 
    • eDM campaigns
    • Banner ads on Global Source websites
    • Content marketing
    • Influencer marketing
  • Identify, develop and test new channels to achieve marketing goals
  • Track and analyze marketing results to identify opportunities and enhance performance
  • Track and monitor all metrics for the conference including but not limited to:
    • Traffic to the Summit website
    • Social media activity
    • Ticket sales and sources
  • Develop and execute pre-, during and post-Summit email campaigns for speakers and attendees
  • Help update the Summit website on a regular basis
  • Help produce marketing collateral as needed

 

2)  Operational:

  • Coordinate with the exhibitions department for all operational aspects of the Summit, including but not limited to:
    • Food & beverage
    • Audio & video equipment
    • Seating, room arrangement
    • Backdrops and onsite signage
    • Travel arrangements for speakers / attendees
    • At-show Summit marketing
  • Prepare agreement documents for sponsors
  • Coordinate with sponsors to ensure they are aware of deliverables
  • Manage logistics during the event
  • Train support staff at the Summit
  • Working with the Exhibitions team, ensure all operational aspects run smoothly
  • Coordinate with speakers to ensure they arrive on time for their session
  • Working with the Accounts department, process payments for speakers, partners and sponsors
  • Prepare a marketing plan to promote and sell videos of Summit presentations

 

Requirements: 

  • 1 to 2 years of event management experience
  • Experience with digital marketing (e.g. social media, newsletters, content management)
  • Excellent English language copy writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative practices into digital marketing projects
  • Passion for creativity and innovation
  • Enjoys critical thinking
