Job Description

The Assistant Manager (Development) supports the College’s developments in the areas of professional and continuing education and has the following duties:

To assist in the planning of new developments in professional and continuing education in the field of Early Childhood Education;
To liaise with different parties, both internal and external to explore development opportunities in Hong Kong, China and overseas;
To contribute to the execution of projects/plan under the specified development areas of the College;
To assist in preparing progress reports/periodic reports as required;
To conduct timely market research and deliver analytical reports required by the College to make decisions on development directions;
To perform any other duties as assigned by the College.

Requirements:

Holder of Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably with Master's Degree qualification;
Minimum 3 year’s relevant working experience;
Knowledge and understanding of the higher education environment, the HK and China environment with international exposure will be an advantage;
Knowledge, experience and exposure in HR development and Early Childhood Education are preferred;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Putonghua and Cantonese;
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing;
Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills;
Self-motivated, independent and well organised.

Candidate with less experience will be considered for the Officer position.

Yew Chung Community College (YCCC) is a member of the Yew Chung Education Foundation (YCEF) in Hong Kong, which, together with its sister schools in Mainland China and the USA, offers bilingual international education at Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary levels. Our network of schools currently serves more than 8,000 students, and we have celebrated our 85^th anniversary, as well as the 10^th anniversary of YCCC.

The HDECE Programmequalifies its graduates to be registered in Hong Kong as Kindergarten Teachers, Child Care Workers, Child Care Supervisors, and Special Child Care Workers. YCCC is in the final process of being upgraded to a degree-awarding institution and is to be renamed Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE), likely beginning in the 2018-19 academic year. YCCECE will be the first and only higher education institution that focuses on Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher training and related programmes in Hong Kong (See teaser site: http://ece.yccc.edu.hk/en/) and will offer our first 4-year degree programme, Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education (BEdECE), in September 2018. YCCECE will also house the Yew Chung Early Childhood Development Centre (YCECDC), which has a strong community outreach orientation.
