Haymarket is seeking an experienced Conference Producer who is motivated to grow Haymarket Financial Media existing events portfolio and launch new events across Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will work with industry experts to develop commercially compelling programs in a deadline-driven environment.

Overall responsibility

You are responsible for maximizing delegate and sponsorship revenue for conferences through top-level production and marketing for Haymarket business publications with a focus on events taking place in Asia.

This will involve in-depth telephone/desk research into target markets, identifying the hottest topics, writing program & copy, recruiting speakers and executing an effective marketing campaign within set budget and deadlines. You will also liaise with speakers and sponsors to ensure the smooth running of your conferences on-site.

As a conference producer, you will also be expected to generate topics through your research, publications and relationships. You will be tasked specifically with growing individual events and increasing their profitability as well as identifying and launching selective new event series. 

Your role will involve working closely with the Brand Solutions team, and the editorial team to formulate planning and execute strategy for all of the events in the portfolio. Including ensuring that all copy is written to maximize impact, and that speakers and programs are targeted and current.  

Industries and Sectors Covered:

Haymarket Financial Media runs both industry specific events and also sector focuses which will be relevant for asset managers, CFO’s and corporate leaders. 

The events are made up of large and small scale events, in both developed and developing markets.  The events can include workshops, and prevent training also, based on the priority to make the conferences lively and interactive.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will thrive in a results-driven, team-based environment, where the ability and will to share information and ideas are actively encouraged and viewed as crucial to the success of the business as a whole. He/She should demonstrate excellent telephone, written and face to face skills at all times as well as a keen interest in innovating the work of the conference department. Prior experience in the finance industry would be beneficial, but not required.
