To position the company as an industry leader within a competitive business environment, our client is seeking for a high calibre corporate communications professional to head up the external communications team. 

Reporting to the group head of brand marketing & communications and leading a small team, you will act as the subject expert to provide strategic advice to senior management team. You will be developing and implementing a comprehensive and proactive external communications strategy, encompassing media relations, social media communications, speaker platforms, issues management and executive communications to enhance the competitive position and reputation of the company.   You will lead the rollout of impactful external communications initiatives, including media campaigns, results announcements, M&A activities and etc. You will also serve as one of the key spokespersons for the company and being the key contact person for media.  

The ideal candidate should be a degree holder in Journalism, Communications or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of experience for MNCs and within a complex, matrix and multi-faceted business environment. Candidates from banking and/or financial services are highly preferred.   You are strategic and with proven track record in driving impactful external communications initiatives. You are a strong leader, influential and able to quickly win the trust and confidence of senior management team. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills are required. Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory.
