AsianInvestor, the leading publication dedicated to the region's asset management industry in Asia is looking to hire a business development manager. AsianInvestor covers topics as diverse as alternative investments, securities services, pension reform, risk management, mutual funds, institutional investment trends and regulation across the region, including Japan. With a track record spanning over 17 years, our company is considered to be the market leading financial publishing firm in Asia.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for new business development and account management of existing clients across Asia Pacific. You will be based in our Hong Kong or Singapore office with regular travelings within the region to be expected.

We are looking to hire an experienced and confident individual with a can-do, go-getter attitude and a positive approach to work.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively selling advertising/sponsorship packages to existing and new clients
• To build relationships with existing client base and develop new accounts
• To meet clients face to face and represent the company at conferences, industry events and award ceremonies
• The candidate will be responsible for achieving annual targets

Requirements:

• University graduate
• 5 - 10 years sales experience gained within the media industry, with proven track records of event sponsorship sales.
• Expert knowledge of developing new business sales as well as key account management
• Excellent presentation skills
• Willing to travel within the Asia Pacific Region
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment
• A team player but also can work independently
• Communication skill in English is required and language skill in Mandarin is highly preferred
