The Senior Medical Writer is responsible for creating content for MIMS MedComms print, digital and event solutions that meet the medical communications objectives of our pharma company- and healthcare professional-partners

Responsibilities

• Utilize scientific knowledge to produce a full spectrum of medcomms content, including symposium highlights, newsletters, detail aids, slide decks, journal article manuscripts, digital content, etc
• Edit assigned medcomms content to ensure scientific accuracy, alignment with the relevant client communications objectives, and quality English language output
• Acquire and maintain a deep scientific understanding of clients' product portfolios in order to provide strategic advice on marketing solutions
• Liaise with key opinion leaders in faculty management for events, symposia, roundtables and other meetings across a range of therapeutic areas
• Facilitate discussions among key opinion leaders in advisory board or expert panel meetings
• Lead/participate in client meetings/teleconferences for pitching proposals, brainstorming on new initiatives, marketing planning or event/meeting planning

Requirement

• Graduate degree in the sciences (PhD, MSc); healthcare science degree a plus (MD, PharmD, BSc in nursing or allied profession)

• At least 5 years’ experience working for a healthcare communications agency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – this is assessed on application
• Team skills
• Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, concise messages
• Attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
