SUMMARY: The position reports to Senior Merchandiser/ Assistant Merchandising Manager for product development and production follow up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.

• Responsible for daily execution of merchandising activities to achieve company goals in on-time delivery, quality and pricing.
• To support Senior Merchandiser to manage the vendor relationship strategically.
• To work collaborative with vendors on PO management.
• To be the problem solver; to act as liaison between vendors and internal teams for root causes identification and work for resolution proactively and promptly.
• To assist Senior Merchandiser on costing verification and initial negotiations.
• To assist/support in review the monthly buy reports, forecast and capacity planning with manufacturing facilities.
• Other duties assigned as needed. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Polytechnic / IVE graduate in Merchandising, Garments, Textile or related discipline
• 5 years solid experience in garment industry, sportswear products experience is preferable
• Experiences in US buying office is essential
• Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, proficient in Mandarin
• Mature, independent, detail-minded, initiative, stable with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Excel. Knowledge in SAP is preferable.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Sportswear garment manufacturing background a plus.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Have the ability to travel approximately 5% of time.
