ABOUT THE ROLE

This pivotal role leads the development of global and high-profile advocacy and campaigning strategies within the specialist field of business and human rights. The subject matter expert on business and human rights, this role will be key in achieving Amnesty International’s Strategic Goals on these issues, with a particular focus on the role of Chinese business operations outside of China and China as a global economic factor.

Working with the Business and Human Rights team, Amnesty’s Business and Economics Network, various country teams, sections and relevant NGOs, this role will coordinate advocacy and campaigning to provide a watertight strategy and expert advice in Business and Human Rights as a specialist.

ABOUT YOU

With proven knowledge and first-hand experience of undertaking high quality advocacy and campaigning on human rights and business and economics issues, you’ll have in-depth specialist knowledge in the field of business, economics, and human rights at the international level.

A person of excellent political judgement, strong analytic skills and the ability to plan strategically, you’ll be used to negotiating and influencing others to put your point across, planning and managing projects, and offering timely, succinct and accurate guidance to others. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, with fluency in Mandarin a highly desirable attribute.
