Job Description

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager (BDM) include but are not limited to; growing the sales organization by networking, warm calling, acquiring existing accounts, targeting new customers, closing sales leads and opportunities assigned. BDMs will participate in the development of business growth strategies, to increase overall profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Investor Relations framework and strategy to attract potential investors and High-Net Worth Individuals, including Investor Mapping;
  • Develop and expand the Investor base (including private/family offices, etc.);
  • Build and maintain a powerful reputation through clear and consistent communication, including regular conference calls, investor-targeted events, etc.
  • Plan approaches and pitches to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Proactively addressing client issues to close sales
  • Schedule regular follow up visits to establishments for purposes of closing sales;
  • Organize events for fund capitalization as needed; Initiate and respond to written, telephone and email inquiries from clients;
  • Provide in depth technical support, including reviewing results analysis, preparing investor presentations/events, providing inputs to external communication materials to make them more investment ready, etc.;
  • Maintain and update daily account activity in CRM.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of exceeding sales targets and strong skills with relationship management, consultative selling and capital raising are a must. Understanding of market research, and experience to build up a network of HNWIs and private/family offices. Strong numerical sense. Candidates must be extremely comfortable prospecting and developing sales via the telephone. Prior experience working with China accounts is a plus. Travel will be required.
