Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for providing general support and maintain application systems; assisting in managing the IT functions; investigating and fixing application problems and handling ad-hoc service requests and user enquires; performing implementation activities for IT application system enhancement; coordinating with stakeholders for business requirements and participating in meeting with internal and external parties; assisting in preparation of application system enhancement documentation such as meeting agenda and minutes, plan and report etc.; conducting system testing and performing user training when necessary.

General Requirements

Applicants should possess a first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, comparable to HKQF Level 5, and at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant work experience, including 3 years of hands-on experience in application support and application system enhancement, and a good understanding of common industry IT infrastructures.  Relevant professional qualifications in PMP or PRINCE2 would be an advantage.  We are looking for a meticulous, responsible and self-motivated individual who has strong troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; good written and spoken English and Chinese; readiness to work under pressure and outside normal office hours for urgent production issues.  Being an effective team player as well as able to work independently is essential.  Knowledge in programming would be a definite asset.

Conditions of Service and Application Procedures

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal. We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave and medical and dental benefits.
