Job Description
Job descriptions:
- Assist Research Officer and supervise Data Officer in the following duties relating to collecting patients’ data
- Conducting interviews with patients in a professional manner,
- Adopting an efficient and smooth data collection procedure,
- Ensuring all questions in the questionnaires are answered with no inconsistencies,
- Achieving a high response rate;
- Assist Research Officer in the following duties relating to Breast Cancer Research Centre (BCRC)
- Designing editing and consistency checking rules to ensure data in Hong Kong Breast Cancer Registry (HKBCR) are correct and consistent,
- Compiling statistics based on HKBCR using statistical software,
- Summarising and analysing statistical information, and conducting research studies,
- Preparing draft reports on research findings in both Chinese and English,
- Compiling HKBCR Annual Report;
- Construct/update statistical database and write up relevant reports for Breast Health Centre and Breast Cancer Support Centre;
- Assist Research Officer in carrying out administrative and management duties when necessary;
- Deliver any other duties as assigned by Research Officer and other senior officers.
Requirements:
- A good Bachelor or a higher degree from a recognised university, and completed university courses on research methodology and/or medical or healthcare related studies;
- At least 1 years professional experience in
- Conducting research work, preferably in the areas of medical and/or social investigations,
- Using MS applications (WORD, EXCEL, PPT)
- Performing statistical computation using software eg SPSS, SAS,
- Summarising and analysing statistical information,
- Writing reports on research findings, in both English and Chinese;
- Good communication ability, in Chinese and English, spoken and written.
