Objectives

Reports to the global head of Supply Chain Operations Controlling. Main point of contact for controlling topics for all Supply Chain platforms in Asia Pacific.

According to the general guidance from the supervisor, coordinate the defined Country/Sub regional Platforms in Asia Pacific in order to support streamlining operational planning and performance reporting, establish and maintain the company profiles, support to implement cost and operational controls in the HQs and conduct major analysis on Functional Costs and projects/business expansion in the region in order to assist in providing reliable data to management for business decision making, enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness and reduced risk.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting and communication

• Consolidate and control regional Supply Chain Operations cost and performance figures of all countries in Asia Pacific.
• Design and implement an efficient reporting system between Supply Chain departments, Country Platforms, function Supply Chain and function Site Logistics in Asia Pacific.
• Co-ordinate collection of data used to evaluate business performance supporting the performance management for Supply Chain operations units.
• Consolidate and prepare the data for reporting to Supply Chain Operation senior vice president and vice presidents and other relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze the reports according to agreed business operation objectives/ measurements and pro-actively alert appropriately in case of deviations.
• Constantly monitor and improve the data collection and retention processes so as to improve timeliness, accuracy and reduce costs.
• Strengthen focus on forward looking controlling and foster respective discussions within the organization.

Operational planning and forecasting

• Steer consolidated budget planning of the Supply Chain business areas, the function Supply Chain and Site Logistics and relevant Supply Chain sub-platform budgets in Asia Pacific. Co-ordinate, collect and consolidate the budget data to prepare annual budgets across all country platforms in Asia Pacific.
• Process and guideline responsibility for planning, targeting, reporting of supply chain operations cost.
• Develop mid-term forecast/ operational planning and budget preparation.
• Provide recommendations on optimal resource utilization; ensure efficient working usage by monitoring performance against targets

Business Analysis

• Perform business analysis & consulting regarding Supply Chain Operations performance. Question and challenge cost patterns. Drive regular dialogues with relevant stakeholders (internal business partnering)
• Deliver self-contained support for projects and support of global Controlling for the unit Supply Chain Operations.
• Create on-demand reports & analysis from and for the unit, stakeholders and relevant projects.
• Provide internal technical financial advice to Country Platform.
• Administration and usage of relevant Controlling systems. Optimization of relevant processes and systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Controlling, SCM or Engineering with a considerable economical background
• Experience in Controlling and/or Supply Chain Management / Logistics for 5 years
• Knowledge in standard accounting principles
• Well knowledge of Office applications like Excel / PowerPoint / Word
• Working knowledge of SAP R/3 Finance module
