Job Description

The Acceleration Programmes of HKSTP, as known as Leading Enterprises Acceleration Programme (LEAP) and Global Acceleration Academy (GAA), are new initiatives to further support the development of startups and innovation eco-system in Hong Kong. LEAP is an ultra-tailored programme with one goal in mind - to turn elite startups into regional or global tech giants. GAA is aimed to help startups validate their concept and product with leading corporates through HKSTP’s network.


Job Responsibilities:-

• Manage the admission process including deal sourcing, programme promotion, due diligence and arranging admission panel meetings, etc.
• Serve as an account manager to work with acceleratees in various aspects of operations as needed and monitor the progress
• Develop partnerships with leading corporates, professional services and investment communities, entrepreneurs and experienced experts
• Proactively connect with industry communities and investors, and  support in business or investment transactions
• Deliver and/or source training to acceleratees in relation to one or more key corporate functions
• Assist in exit management
• Assist in operation management of the acceleration programmes
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager as appropriate


Requirements:-

• University graduate or above in Electronics/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Finance or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in start-up operations / early stage investment / consulting / project management.  Candidate with less experience will be considered for lower position  
• Previous exposure to Mainland China and overseas market(s) is a plus
• Passion for entrepreneurship; good understanding in start-up eco-system
• Experience in dealing with entrepreneurs and senior executives at established organizations
• Logical thinking, attention to details, great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to take lead and work independently to meet deadlines, as well as proven capabilities to work in a team effectively
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
