Job Description

 Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate the implementation and management of various research projects including Departing Visitor Survey, events tracking surveys, and others thematic or topical studies to ensure the projects are properly executed, completed on time and within budget
  • Supervise and work closely with the research agencies’ fieldwork operations and data processing team so that all the requirements and pre-defined procedures and guidelines as outlined/agreed in the agreements and proposals are met and fulfilled
  • Review results/data from agencies and follow the checking/alert system in the processes to closely monitor the performance of agencies and to report to management immediately for any possible abuse or fraudulent practice
  • Maintain open and regular communication with the Performance Analysis team to share ideas and exchange knowledge regarding the research methodology, questionnaire design, results reporting to achieve continuous improvement and ensure the research projects meet with the fast changing environment
  • Manage and update the HKTB Approved Suppliers List on a regular basis to ensure that the supply of research agencies is sufficient and meet the HKTB’s research service needs

 

Requirements

  • Degree holder preferably in Statistics/Quantitative Analysis or equivalent/Business Administration/Social Science
  • At least 6 years practical experience in marketing research and quantitative analysis
  • Strong PC skills, especially in MS office and statistical software e.g. SAS, SPSS
  • Knowledge or experience in sophisticated analysis and data processing skills
  • Knowledge or experience in data warehouse and data mining will be an advantage
  • Knowledge or experience in tourism will be an advantage
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and detail-minded
  • Strong project management skill and knowledge including fieldwork operation and quality assurance
  • Meticulous, well organized and has ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Highly self-motivated with passion in growing the tourism industry for Hong Kong
  • Good command of both spoken and written Cantonese and English
  • Candidates with less experiences may be considered as Analyst, Research
