The appointee will assist the project leader in conducting research in field of financial mathematics and risk management.  Research duties include, but not limited to, literature review, model building, programming and numerical analysis.

Applicants should:

• possess a master’s degree, preferably with a doctoral degree, in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance or a related field;
• be able to write MATLAB and/or R codes; and
• be able to work independently.

 
Applicants with educational background in financial mathematics, extreme value theory, and risk management will be an advantage.
