Responsibilities:

• Region: China, Hong Kong and Macau.
• Report to Head, Group Tax in Singapore
• Think “out-of-the-box” and deliver innovative tax advisory on special projects
• Lead, direct, review and improve Group corporate structure to ensure tax efficiency, especially cross border relationships
• Lead group annual tax budget preparation
• Implement approved structure and group annual tax budget
• Provide commercial and tax basis to support group structure and related party transactions, and prepare defense strategies
• Lead transfer pricing documentation and reporting compliance
• Lead the review, and the enforcement of Group Tax Compliance matters, including internal Tax Audit
• Provide tax advisory on special projects
• Exhibit functional leadership to Business Groups’ tax managers
• Provide leadership in handling all tax investigation or litigation cases

 Requirements

• Degree in accounting with professional qualifications (CPA) or equivalent
• At least 10 years in a tax advisory role with international and China tax knowledge; Big 4 experience a bonus
• Hands-on experience in dealing with Tax Authority in GC region
• Familiar with regional jurisdictions like China, HK, Macau
• Track record of application and implementation of China tax incentives, e.g. HNTE, accelerated depreciation
• Familiar with proper holding structure to facilitate tax efficiency, TP and fund flow.
• Tax function head in previous capacity with experience leading a team of tax professionals
• Established relationship and networks with HK and China tax authorities and tax advisor
• Good presentation skills, team player, problem solver
• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
