Job Description

Ralph Lauren Asia Pacific is seeking to appoint a Senior Analyst, Inventory Control to ensure inventory accuracy in our merchandising and financial systems. This will require providing timely support to all divisions within Asia-Pacific including, Hong Kong, China, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Korea, and Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Report for non-compliance with inventory management issues
  • Ensure store compliance with inventory related procedures including distributions, transfers, MOS, physical inventory preparation and execution
  • Coordinate annual physical inventory stock-take and cycle counts in all divisions including book cutoff, capturing counts, and sales, research, reconciling, applying adjustments, and shrink reporting
  • Prepare, review and approve inventory adjustments processed within Inventory Control department including, but not limited to RTV’s, MOS, sell-offs, transfer, etc.
  • Work closely with variance departments to resolve inventory related issues
  • Process improvements and enhanced controls within all divisions
  • Partner with GL and Reporting team as needed on reconciliation of inventory data, analysis of Key P&L and B/S accounts related to inventory, audit questions and research
  • Adhère & enforce internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance

Requirements

  • Degree Holder in Finance
  • Minimum five years relevant experience
  • Experience in Finance, Logistics or Distribution
  • Fluency in English & Cantonese, with the ability to communicate well with colleagues across levels
  • Experience working in for a large multi-national, commercial & retail organization with various countries within Asia-Pacific region
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel - understanding V-Lookup, Pivot & Functions)
  • Knowledge of Finance Systems – preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX, AS400, POS or similar ERP system is an advantage
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Resourceful and motivated to drive change
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management with courteous and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well under pressure on multiple tasks & deadlines

 

Depending on the seniority of the appointee, the appointment may be made at the Senior Analyst or Analyst level.
