Our client, a well-established bank, is now seeking an experienced candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain legal oversight through attending various product approval meetings and participate in strategic business decisions.
• Assist the Head of Legal to deal with ad hoc projects.
• Drive deal negotiations and dispute settlement on behalf of the Bank.
• Provide contextual legal advice to business divisions/functions of the Bank with particular emphasis on securities investment and insurance.
• Review legal documents for designated the banking products and services.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and oversee project implementation.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in laws or related disciplines and be admitted as a solicitor of the HKSAR
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience preferably in banking industry
• Conversant with HKSAR legal and regulatory requirements on banking procedures
• Strong knowledge in banking operations as well as banking products and services
• Strategic minded with good business acumen
• Pragmatic with strong drives for results
• Chinese language skills are essential
