Job Description

 

The Group brings its Know-How and expertise to all projects, in particular when dealing with complex facades, beginning with the design development phases all the way to the successful completion and achieving the customer's expectations.

 

 

Due to expansion and new development projects, we are now seeking a new member to join our contracts management team and to provides administrative support in a range of pre / post contract tasks. Your ability to coordinate a variety of activities against tight time lines whilst contributing to a positive team environment is fundamental to your success in this role. Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract

  • Tender Review providing inputs for contractual risk analysis and strategies
  • Review Sub-Contract conditions and customise for project requirements
  • Assist to structure and draft contracts

 

Post-Contract

  • Advise/ensure contractual compliance e.g. contract deliverables, performance bond, insurances
  • Co-ordinate preparation of contract documents / sub-contract documents
  • Provide input for sub-contracting strategies
  • Monitor, research, draft, pursue and obtain contractual entitlements
  • Monitor, co-ordinate and ensure/maintain records relevant to contractual entitlements (e.g. claims, Variation orders etc.)
  • Assess validity of claims from sub-contractors or suppliers
  • Attend project meetings when required
  • Any other matters as may be directed by Contracts Manager
  • Clear understanding of contract law & common law
  • Assist in evaluation of variation orders, handling  final account & interim payments
  • Advise on dispute resolution strategy and legal issues that may arise during the course of a project.

 

Job Requirement:

  • 3 – 5 years on Contract Administration (Preparation of claims & compiling support documentation, Drafting of contractual/commercial related correspondence, Updating & negotiating in a timely manner)
  • Clear understanding of contract law & common law
  • Experience in sub-contractors & commercial contracts administration, cost & budgeting controls & analysis
  • Good understanding & experience of the construction process/ construction industry & it’s regular processes

Desirable: 

  • Experience in dispute resolution practices, delay & disruption is preferred.
  • Member of RICS/HKIS or of a similarly recognized professional institute e.g. MCIOB/ MHKIE is advantageous.
  • Understands critical path, programme impacting methodologies is advantageous
