Job Profile
To assist the Head of Engineering Buildings, Asia in planning and managing the overall service delivery of the Buildings Engineering team, maintaining high standards of design and construction, managing project finance and programmes.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
Project Management and Technical Support
Assist the Head of Engineering Buildings, Asia in planning and implementing the Company’s business development in relation to the following activities:
- Responsible to monitor the quality, resourcing, finance and programme management of the Building Engineering team to ensure the targets are met.
- Develop working relationships with Clients, relationship building and creating ethos of client first.
- Work collaboratively with other Senior Managements and Project Managers to manage related issues on multi-disciplinary projects and liaise with stakeholders on requirements.
- Leading, coaching and motivating team members towards excellence in service delivery.
- Manage and supervise the team to ensure clear coordination of client/design/site/project meetings, and issuance of agendas, meeting minutes etc.
- Oversee and able to provide technical expertise on all projects ensuring that client expectations are met whilst maintaining budget and risk mitigation obligations
- To carry regular site visits throughout the construction stage in order to monitor progress of the project and take appropriate action where necessary to correct non-compliance
- Ensure the standards of technical reports meet the requirements and expectations of the Company
People Management and Leadership Support
- Manage, plan and monitor the resources requirement of all projects
- Lead, motivate and develop the team member to ensure most efficient use of resources and the application of best practice in project performance
- Create an atmosphere that inspires innovative and creative solutions, hard work and loyalty
- Regularly review the performance of subordinates by using the annual PDR process, ensuring appropriate training, recruitment and development are provided and implemented, whilst maintaining a succession planning regime
Person Specification / Qualification
- 15 years’ relevant experience in consulting or allied businesses
- 5 years’ experience in significant commercial and managerial areas
- RSE of Buildings Department
- Senior membership in a recognized engineering, environmental or relevant professional institution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective team leader and able to work under pressure
- Experience and industry reputation in a relevant technical discipline
- Demonstrated good presentation and reporting skills
- Excellent spoken and Written in English and Cantonese
- Good knowledge in BIM modelling
- Proficient in using MS Applications, Database (Desirable) MS Project (Desirable) and relevant engineering/technical software
- Candidate will less experience may be considered as Associate Director
