Job Description

Job specifications

  1. To act as Award Leader for a group of Gold level participants
  2. To conduct centralized training courses, seminars and projects for participants and Award Leaders
  3. To produce printed and on-line training materials for the Award Scheme
  4. To act as secretary of respective committees and panels
  5. To assist Section Panels in reviewing and revising Award conditions and programmes
  6. To organize international training visits and help arrange programmes for overseas visitors 

Candidates should

  • possess a recognized university degree or equivalent with over 1 year relevant experience
  • have a good command of both English & Chinese (written & spoken), Putonghua preferable
  • strong communication skills, enthusiastic in youth development, independent, mature, a good team member and have a pleasant personality
  • familiar with MS Office applications & Chinese word processing.  Knowledge in using basic web and / or graphic design software and database management is an advantage
  • willing to work overtime & during weekends
  • Immediate availability is preferable

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization.  AYP is committed to providing a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential and take positive steps towards finding their purpose, passion and place in the community. 

Since 1986, AYP camp service has been providing outdoor training camp and experiential learning for the young people to challenge themselves and discover their hidden abilities.  With the generous support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp has completed the redevelopment works and re-opened in March 2021.
