Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Commissioning, claims and service work for marine EGC systems
- Execution of the above in line with organization processes and practice so as to achieve the desired time, cost and quality outcomes
- Representation and protection of Wartsila and EGC products to the customer and the marine industry more generally
- Provision of feedback to earlier project execution phases - sales, design, engineering, purchasing and installation
- Adaptable and able to work independently in a proactive and structured manner
- Increasing spare part sales through customer interaction and accurate record keeping in the field
Requirements:
- Suitable real world knowledge and experience related to control system specification and design, PLC programming and diagnostics, marine power distribution, motor control, process sensors and instrumentation, valves, pumps, fans and other process system componentry
- Ability to understand, use and correct electrical and automation schematics and drawings, and related component level documentation
- Some mechanical knowledge is required
- Relevant practical experience may compensate for lacking formal competency
- Relevant ‘hands on’ experience in the mechanical and electrical disciplines within a process setting
- Contemporary knowledge is expected including experience in use of MS Word and Excel, AutoCad and SAP
- Fluent in written and spoken English (Mandarin is a plus)
- Structured, good attention to detail and self-motivating
- Certificate, Diploma, Associate Degree, Degree in Electrical, Automation, Control Engineering, or Relevant.
- Experience from commissioning and maintenance of process systems
- Minimum of 3 years marine or offshore industry experience is preferred
- Good computer skills
- Working on board vessel and sailing is required
- Willingness to travel to overseas
