Job Description
The Operations Manager will have proven experience in facilities management and demonstrated ability to lead people and project planning.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of AMD factory relocation planning & execution of the plan including, but not limited to new factory site search & evaluation, site development & factory fitting plan, writing relevant proposals and reporting to Sr. management, and Searching & managing Contractors, and etc.
- Manage/Supervise internal factory facilities team and 3rd party facilites contractors hired
- Supervision: Customs team and LK facilities team including hiring and retention, performance review and discipline
- Supervision: 3rd Party Onsite Contractors including contractor search & survey, writing selection proposals, writing contracts, administering/monitoring facilities contracts, monitoring performance, ensuring safe work practice and acceptable workmanship, and enforcing discipline.
- Update Sr. Management with relevant facilities requirements (such as PRC building code regulations and their changes), internal facilities performance reports and proposals.
- Propose relevant improvement/CAPA plan in compliance with related local building code requirements.
- Work closely with production department to support/resolve production facility related issues.
- Manage all aspects of PRC Customs operations including customs planning, customs declaration and customs clearance.
- Improve/Reduce customs variation amount to be less than RMB300K all times.
- Support AMD/LK Safety Committees by participating committee meetings and following relevant facilities tasks and plans, to ensure of site safety.
- Support CSR audit preparations and CAPA activities (facilities related).
- Prepare Customs audits and host auditor(s) during the Customs audit.
- Manage Customs team and work with other departments for continuous improvement in all relevant aspects of cost reduction, shipping and customs clearance.
- Establish Operations & Customs Departmental objectives/goals for performance measurement.
- Implement departmental performance metrics, such as KPIs, and provide progress reports to senior management.
- Ensure effective, transparent contractor management and cost control.
- Provide employee coaching, training and development.
- Manage departmental responsibilities and priorities.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering, and able to communicate effectively in English.
- Min 5 years working experience as operations or facilities manager
- Solid experience in facilities management is required.
- Previous working experience in medical device industry will be an advantage
- Fast leaner and ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, project planning, facilities management, contract/supplier management, and employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and spend 3 days per week in PRC.
- Need to work in detail orientated manner and search for continuous improvement in all areas.
