Job Description
Our client, an Australian Investment Bank, is currently opening a Database Administrator (Permanent) position to support their operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- To perform Server administration (60% Oracle and 40% Windows)
- Provide advanced technical expertise to a team to support projects and operational activities related to various business systems
- Maintain all enterprise databases to ensure high integrity, performance, accessibility, and recoverability of data
- Responsible for end-to-end project plans, control production release, and implement and monitor database systems
- Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization
- Manage standby databases, snapshots and other advanced database features
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of working experience in database administration (Windows, Oracle, VMware, MS SQL, etc)
- Experience in scripting, programming and managing Windows or Unix will be advantageous
- Preferably with knowledge and skills in Database Mirroring, Windows Clustering, Active Directory and Server Administration
- Excellent communication, analytical and project planning skills
- Candidates from non-banking industry are also welcomed
