Job Description

We are looking for an individual to complete our Team in the role of General Manager and Senior Trainer. This individual is Responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the studio. We are looking for a highly organised, member-focused manager who can work autonomously and with our team. This individual must be passionate about fitness and be able to empathise and communicate effectively will all people.

Roles as a General Manager and Senior Trainer

SALES

The SGM must be able to work with, delegate and oversee duties undertaken by the sales team. The main goals of the SGM in the area of sales are to Increase membership numbers and retain current members. This will be achieved by ensuring inactive members are contacted, high standards of service in all aspects are met, and kept by all staff, and ensuring clients are satisfied. The SGM is also responsible for overseeing and enforcing the sales process and systems, whilst being able to lead and delegate the sales team to work towards achieving a unified goal.

HUMAN RESOURCES & STAFF MANAGEMENT

The individual requires Human Resource Management experience along with the certification. The SGM must have the ability to recruit, train, develop and manage a unified team of employees to run the facility at the high standard expected, creating work flow and team structure. Under this role, the individual is also required to handle terminations, disputes and resolutions, appraisals and performance reviews.

ADMINISTRATION

Administration duties such as taking charge of customer payments & studio expenses, unpaid visits, contracts, bill payments, and safe keeping. Mindbody software knowledge is necessary. The ability to reasonably handle and manage challenging client disputes, cancellations and terminations is essential to satisfy the requirements of this role.

TRAINER

The SGM is required to instruct fitness classes’ onsite and offsite to a high standard, ensuring consistency is present in every class. It is imperative he or she has a sound understanding of client injuries, restrictions and skill level, and is able to modify exercises. The client must feel they are in a safe, enjoyable and motivating environment.

GENERAL MANAGEMENT

Day to day management and upkeep of the studio is the responsibility of the SGM. The individual must ensure stock is filled, studio is hygienic, clean, tidy and safe. The SGM is responsible for providing leadership and daily direction to the sales, marketing and training team within the studio. The SGM must oversee and ensure all reception processes are followed. The SGM must provide and maintain the highest level of customer service, build rapport and establish a professional relationship. Finally, the SGM must have reasonable, logical and empathetic decision making skills, especially with regards to customer service issues.
