Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong project management skills.  This post will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities aligned with our strategy.  Once the opportunities are identified, the Business Development Manager will manage projects from concept to market by aligning key internal stakeholders, providing leadership updates and assuring commercialization of the respective projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities aligned with core strategic focus areas  
  • Lead implementation of key projects enabling successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Manage a pipeline of business opportunities to assure roadblocks are identified and solutions are quickly implemented to prevent project delays
  • Transparently track and report pipeline opportunities to commercialization that meets our customers’ expectations / timing
  • Define/ map, measure, analyze, improve and control business processes.  Support process management capabilities of business users by coaching according to individual needs. Enable acceptance through appropriate change management skills.
  • Manage optimum alignment between process capability and application systems.
  • Support alliance of business processes to planning calendar milestones.
  • Work with counterparts to enable a standard operating platform across all partners by sharing of best practices.  
  • Work with cross functional teams within Marketing Operations, Sourcing and Production to enable achievement of best practices through successful program management, and achievement of end-to-end information and product flows.
  • Benchmark our co-partners processes and business models against other companies within the industry and other industries. Build an agenda for continuous process improvement.

Requirement:

  • Business related degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial experience in marketing, sales and / or business development
  • Project / program management experience managing teams in a matrix organization
  • Experience in the EPP, XPS, EPS market a plus
  • Experience in assessing market opportunities, developing business and driving commercialization
  • Preferably prior experience with PLM or comparable product creation systems
  • Excellent presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills across different levels within a global organization (English proficiency is required Chinese is preferred)
  • Analytical mindset, innovative thinker, and a collaborator (captured above)
  • Ability to mediate and bring cross-functional stakeholders with different objectives to agree on a consensus
  • Advanced knowledge of business process management methodologies and principles
  • In depth understanding of product creation processes and Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLM)
  • Understanding of structured problem solving methodologies
  • High degree of self management and drive
